Donations received become part of the operating budget and can pay for such items as teacher salaries and benefits, teaching tools, educational equipment, SMART Boardsä, continuing education for employees, and necessities from furniture to light bulbs. One-sixth of each donation is split equally between the Faculty/Staff Endowment Fund and the Financial Aid Endowment Fund.
The board of trustees is committed to keeping tuition as reasonable as possible and participation in the Annual Giving Fund is one way to accomplish this. Annual Giving accounted for 4% of income received in the 2009-10 school year. Trustee participation in the Annual Fund was 100% and participation by faculty and staff for 2009-10 was at 99%. Gifts are tax-deductible and can be made on-line.
