Faculty & Staff A-E

MRS. ALMON holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has worked on a Master's degree at the University of Central Oklahoma and has taken classes in children's literature at Oklahoma City University. Mrs. Almon is Westminster's lower division librarian. (1990)

MRS. ATKINSON attended Northeast Louisiana University and graduated from Francis Tuttle School of Nursing. She is a Licensed Practical Nurse with extensive triage and clinical experience. She was previously employed by Senior Life Care and the Oklahoma City Clinic. Mrs. Atkinson is the school nurse at Westminster School. (2007)

MR. BAIRD graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a degree in Physical Education. He has had additional training as a climbing instructor. Mr. Baird currently teaches middle school physical education and coaches basketball. (1981)

MS. BROWN received her education at Szu Wei, in Hualien, Taiwan and attended Oklahoma City University. She is currently a teaching assistant in the five day classroom. (1998)

MRS. BURLISON has a B.S. in French Education and an M.A. in French from the University of Oklahoma. She is a native of Switzerland where at an early age she began her intensive study of multiple languages. Mrs. Burlison teaches sixth and eighth grade Spanish. (2003)

MS. BUTLER holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas, along with additional teaching certificates in Gifted and Talented and Special Education Instruction. She has taught elementary through high school grade levels, has developed curriculum, and has mentored new teachers in the profession. Ms. Butler teaches fourth grade at Westminster School. (2008)

MRS. CARLSEN holds a B.S. in Science Education from the University of Oklahoma. She taught life sciences at Norman North High School and was an educational officer for Central Oklahoma Marine Aquarium Society.  Mrs. Carlsen teaches seventh  grade science. (2010)

MS. DAVIS (Class of 1987) holds a B.S. in Corrections from Oklahoma State University. She has designed and painted sets for Westminster Middle School and for Lyric Theater. Ms. Davis is a graduate of Westminster School and teaches art and coaches basketball and track in the middle division. (1996)

MR. DINWIDDIE has a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma.  Before coming to Westminster, he taught journalism at OU for four years.  Mr. Dinwiddie teaches seventh grade English and coaches fifth grade basketball. (2009)

MRS. DRAPER has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with an endorsement in Early Childhood. She has worked in the Edmond Schools. Mrs. Draper is a first grade teacher at Westminster. (1998)

MRS. DRESBACK has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Drake University and a Master's in Early Childhood Education from the University of Oklahoma. She is state certified in both early childhood and elementary education. Mrs. Dresback has also completed graduate hours in education at Oklahoma City University, the University of Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State University. She has taught in Iowa, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. Mrs. Dresback is a reading consultant at Westminster School. (1977)

MR. ECKROAT holds a B.A. in German and a minor in Art from Oklahoma Baptist University. Mr. Eckroat is the Facilities Director for Westminster School. (2004)

MRS. EIKE graduated from Northwestern Oklahoma Sate University with a B.S. in Mathematics Education and is currently working on a Master's degree at the University of Oklahoma.  She previously taught eighth grade in Lawton and high school calculus in Chickasha.  She is currently the eighth grade math teacher and Math Counts coach at Westminster. MR. EVANS holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and a B.A. in Journalism/Advertising from the University of Oklahoma. He has taught fifth grade in the Putnam City schools. Mr. Evans is a fourth grade teacher and math curriculum coordinator at Westminster School. (2006)

Faculty & Staff F-J

MRS. FISHER earned a B.A. in both Sociology and Family Psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University and an M.Ed. from the University of Oklahoma. She has taught in the Norman Public Schools and teaches fifth grade at Westminster. (1999)

MRS. FOX has been employed as an Accounts Payable/Receivable clerk for various Oklahoma City firms. Mrs. Fox handles accounts payable and payroll for Westminster School. (1989)

MRS. FRANK holds a B.S. in retail merchandising from Purdue University. She was president of an equipment leasing company for 14 years and then was involved with golf course development and providing management services for professional golfers. She has served as president of The University Hospitals Foundation and Hospice of Oklahoma County. Mrs. Frank is director of development and marketing at Westminster School. (1997)

MRS. FRIOT has a B.A. in French cum laude from Vassar College. She also holds certificates in elementary and early childhood education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She received a Master's of Early Childhood Education degree from Oklahoma City University. Mrs. Friot taught in the Putnam City Schools and now teaches kindergarten at Westminster and in the primary full day program. (1989)

MS. FULMER (Class of 1989) holds a B.A. in Communications from Loyola University in New Orleans, and both an American Montessori Teaching Certificate and an M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma City University. Ms. Fulmer is a graduate of Westminster School and teaches in the five day and the primary full day program. (2001)

MR. GILBERT received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering and his law degree from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Gilbert practiced law at Dougherty & Hessin from 1979-1998 and McAfee & Taft from 1998 to 2002. Mr. Gilbert teaches eighth grade science and coaches basketball. (2002)

MRS. GODFREY has a B.S. in Secondary English Education from Oklahoma State University and a Masters of Library and Information Studies from the University of Oklahoma.  She has worked as Media Specialist for Deer Creek Elementary and Harding Charter Preparatory High School and has also taught pre-AP English at Putnam City North High School.  Mrs. Godfrey teaches technology classes in the Lower School. MRS. GRAHAM earned her B.S. in accounting cum laude from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is a Certified Public Accountant who previously worked for Gillispie & Ogilbee, CPA'S. Mrs. Graham is the controller for Westminster School. (2006)

MRS. RUSSELL HARBISON (Class of 1981) received her A.B. degree in chemistry and German from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine. She also holds an M.A. in Art Conservation from State University College at Buffalo, NY. Ms. Russell taught high school chemistry in Maine and worked several years as an artifact conservator, most recently at Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. Ms. Russell is a Westminster graduate, teaches sixth grade science, and is the science curriculum coordinator. (2000)

MS. HARRIS holds a B.S. in English and Education from Oklahoma City University. She is currently working on her Masters degree in English Education at the University of Oklahoma.  Ms. Harris teaches eighth grade English and coaches middle school soccer. (2010)

MRS. HAUSER (Class of 1988) concentrated her work at Connecticut College in social studies where she earned a B.A. in Crime, Law, & Society: Domestic & International Issues. She later received an M.S.in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven. While working in law enforcement in Waterford, CT, Mrs. Hauser developed and implemented school safety programs and directed training of teachers as well as officers. Mrs. Hauser is a graduate of Westminster School, teaches seventh grade civics, and coaches girls' basketball. (2008)

MRS. HEATH holds a B.S. in Physical Education from Oklahoma Christian University. She teaches physical education in the primary division. (1971)

MRS. HOBSON holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from Oklahoma State University. She has taught kindergarten and first grade in Omaha, Nebraska, and Oklahoma City Public Schools. Mrs. Hobson teaches second grade at Westminster School. (2005)

DR. HOWELL has a B.S. in Elementary Education with endorsements in mathematics and science from Southwestern Oklahoma State University, an M.A. in Early Childhood Education from Southern Nazarene University, and an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Oklahoma State University. Dr. Howell has taught at Hennessey Middle School, Okarche High School, and Okarche Elementary School. She is a teacher consultant for Oklahoma State University Writing Project and provides staff development in writing across the curriculum. Dr. Howell teaches seventh grade math. (1998)

MS. HUDSON holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has taught first grade in the Putnam City Schools. Ms. Hudson teaches kindergarten and works in the full day program at Westminster School. (2000)

MS. JOHNSON graduated from the University of Kansas in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She attended Westminster School as a student, graduated in 1999, and now manages the primary office and is the all school receptionist. She also teaches an art studio class for 5-Day children. (2009)

Faculty & Staff K-O

MS. KALLENBERGER (Class of 1990) holds a B.A. in French from the University of Central Oklahoma and a Master's in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. She has been a guidance/career counselor with the Albuquerque Job Corps and is a graduate of Westminster School. Ms. Kallenberger directs the Lower School After School Club and the summer program. MRS. KEITH received her B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Oklahoma. She has taught in junior highs and middle schools in Oklahoma City, Lawton, and Moore. Mrs. Keith teaches sixth grade social studies and coaches volleyball. (1980)

MRS. KLEPPER holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Oklahoma. She has worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital and as a school nurse with the Oklahoma City Public Schools. Mrs. Klepper is the school nurse and the health and wellness director. (2008)

MRS. LAUZON has a B.A. from the University of Oklahoma where she majored in psychology and minored in child development and counseling. She is certified by the American Montessori Society and received her M.Ed. from Oklahoma City University. Mrs. Lauzon taught at Holy Family Cathedral School in Tulsa where she piloted the first Montessori program at the school. She teaches in the five day and the primary full day programs. (1998)

MRS. LAWS earned a B.S. from the University of Central Oklahoma and she received an American Montessori Society Teaching Certificate from Oklahoma City University. She has been a teacher in the five day program and now teaches in the three day morning and afternoon and primary full day programs. (1989)

MRS. LEE holds a B.A. in Music summa cum laude from Hillsdale Free Will Baptist College and a B.A. in Japanese Education in Korea. She also received a Master of Early Childhood Education and Montessori Certification with honors from Oklahoma City University. Mrs. Lee assists in teaching in the 5-Day classrooms. (2009)

MS. LINDSAY holds a B.S. from the University of Oklahoma in Elementary Education, with special emphasis in social sciences.  Ms. Lindsay has taught fourth grade at Westminster School and currently teaches third grade. (2008)

MRS. MARQUARDT received her B.A. in Environmental Studies and Botany at the University of Oklahoma. She worked on orgainc farms throughout Oklahoma before obtaining her M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education and Montessori Certification from Oklahoma City University. She teaches Kindergarten science and writing. (2009)

MS. MARSHALL holds a B.A. in English Literature from Rhodes College and a Master of Education in Early Childhood from Oklahoma City University. She has taught kindergarten and first grade at Putnam Heights. Ms. Marshall teaches second grade at Westminster School. (2010)

MRS. McCANTS holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has a minor in computer science, which includes courses in BASIC language, COBOL, ASSEMBLY programming language, and application software. Mrs. McCants is the network administrator for Westminster School. (1982)

MRS. MORGAN received her B.A. in History from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, and her M.S. in College Student Personnel from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  Mrs. Morgan has served as an admission officer at Oklahoma City University, the director of admission at Westminster School, and is currently Westminster's alumni director. MRS. MORGAN received a Bachelor of Accountancy degree with general honors and an M.B.A. from the University of Oklahoma. She is a certified public accountant. From 1985 until 2004 she was the Business Manager of Westminster School. Mrs. Morgan is the business operations officer for Westminster School. (2008)

MRS. MOSES received her B.A. in Education from the Ecole de lettres Francaise and holds an American Montessori Society Teaching Certificate from Oklahoma City University. She taught in multi-lingual classrooms and implemented the French program at St. Charles School in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Moses is a teacher in the kindergarten program and in primary full day. (1989)

MS. NELSON holds a B.A. in Social Work from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana and a Master's in Education from Oklahoma City University. She is certified by the American Montessori Society. Ms. Nelson has several years experience in early childhood education working with both children and adults. Ms. Nelson teaches kindergarten at Westminster School.(2008)

MRS. OLDHAM received her B.A. in English Education from the University of Louisiana at Monroe and her M.A. in English from the University of Oklahoma. She has attended the Oklahoma Writing Project, served as a teacher consultant for that Project, and has edited a statewide anthology of student writings sponsored by the Oklahoma Council of Teachers of English. She has taught at Noble Junior High, Casady School, and Rose College. Mrs. Oldham currently teaches eighth graders and co-directs the middle division. (1985)

MS. O'NEIL (Class of 1981) is a Westminster alum who earned a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California. She worked in a variety of marketing positions on the west coast before joining Westminster as the ISAS accreditation coordinator. Ms. O'Neil handles accounts receivable and administrative work for Westminster School. (2004)

MRS. OLIVER holds a B.A. from the University of Central Florida. Her experience includes employment with Department of Defense Dependants Schools (DoDDS), Killeen Independent School District (KISD-Texas), and Jacksonville Country Day School, and membership in the Florida Council of Independent Schools (FCIS).  Most recently she held the position of Science Department Facilitator for grades K-6th at Jacksonville Country Day School in Florida, Mrs. Oliver is a third grade teacher at Westminster. MRS. PHELPS received her B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Central Oklahoma and her M.Ed. from Oklahoma City University. Mrs. Phelps teaches sixth grade math, coaches volleyball and basketball, and co-directs the middle division. (1981)

MS. PICKARD (Class of 1980) holds a B.F.A. in Painting/Printmaking from the Kansas City Art Institute and a Montessori Teaching Certificate from Oklahoma City University. She has studied at the University of Paris-Sorbonne and the Chautauqua School of Art. Ms. Pickard taught art at the School of the Plains and has been a Montessori teacher in our primary division. She is an Artist-in-Residence throughout Oklahoma, and her work has been shown in galleries across the country. Ms. Pickard is a graduate of Westminster School and teaches fourth and fifth grade art. MRS. PORTER holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Arizona. She has taught in the Dallas Independent School District and has been employed in the real estate and banking fields. Mrs. Porter is the assistant director of development and marketing. (1987)

MS. PTAK is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma and holds a B.S. in Elementary Education. She previously served as the assistant director of admission at Oklahoma City University. Ms. Ptak is the director of admission. (2008)

MS. RAN holds a B.S. in Literature of Arts from China. She received a Master's in Education, Montessori approach, from Oklahoma City University and holds an American Montessori Society certificate. Ms. Ran taught in the summer program at Casady School. Ms. Ran is a teacher in the five day program. (2008)

MRS. RAPP holds a B.A. in Education from the University of Oklahoma. She has worked in retail management and done extensive volunteer work with children. She is also a certified Cline-Fay "Love and Logic" parenting instructor. Mrs. Rapp is the lower school office manager. (1991)

MRS. REINEKE (Class of 1997) holds a B.A. in letters from the University of Oklahoma and a post baccalaureate degree in elementary education from Rio Salado College. She is a Teach for America alum who taught fifth grade at Cesar Chavez School in Phoenix, Arizona. Mrs. Reineke, a graduate of Westminster School, is the language arts curriculum coordinator, teaches fifth grade language arts and coaches tennis and volleyball. (2007)

MRS. RICHARDSON holds a B.S. in Education from the University of Oklahoma and a Master's in Special Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has taught special education in the Midwest City schools. Mrs. Richardson is the second grade enrichment teacher at Westminster School. (2006)

MS. RIGGLE holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Music Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She completed her Orff Schulwerk (Music for Children) certification at the University of Kentucky and at St. Thomas University in Minnesota. She completed an apprenticeship with the American Orff Schulwerk Association at the University of Kentucky. She has taught music at the First Presbyterian Church S.P.A.R.K. Program, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, at St. Paul's Episcopal, and in the Yukon Public Schools. Ms. Riggle teaches music in the lower division. (1994)

MRS. ROBINSON earned a B.S. in Education at the University of Oklahoma and an M.S., summa cum laude, in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Mrs. Robinson taught at St. Mary's Episcopal School, Casady School, and in the Oklahoma City Public Schools. Mrs. Robinson is a teacher in the three day program. (1988)

MRS. RODGERS holds a B.A. in Oral Communication from Harding University. She has also completed Schools Attuned training and is a certified Alphabetic Phonics instructor. Mrs. Rodgers taught at Trinity School in Oklahoma City for sixteen years. She currently teaches sixth grade English. (2006)

MRS. ROSZEL worked in the Putnam City School System in the office at Cooper Middle School and as Library Media Assistant at Northridge Elementary. Mrs. Roszel is the middle school office manager. (1999)

DR. RUNDELL (Class of 1986) has a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Colorado and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. She has experience with the Austin Child Guidance Center and the Austin State Hospital where she worked with Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Services. Dr. Rundell is an alum of Westminster School and is our school psychologist. (2003)

MS. RYAN holds a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from the University of Oklahoma. She has taught at Heritage Hall, George Cross Academy in Norman, Westover School in Connecticut, and Cincinnati Country Day School. She has also taught middle school physical education at Westminster and currently teaches lower school physical education and coaches basketball and track. (1991)

MS. RYAN holds a Master's of Education from Oklahoma City University and the American Montessori certification. Ms. Ryan assists in teaching kindergarten. (2007)

MS. SHADID (Class of 1997) holds a Master's of Library and Information Studies and a B.A. summa cum laude in letters from the University of Oklahoma.  She has worked as an Assistant Professor of Bibliography and as a Librarian at the University of Oklahoma Libraries' Western History Collections.   Ms. Shadid is a graduate of Westminster School and is the Library Media Specialist in the middle school division. MRS. SHAW holds a B.A. in French from Hollins College and also a B.S. in Education from the University of Missouri. She has studied in France through both Hollins College and Vanderbilt University. Mrs. Shaw continues to take graduate classes at the University of Central Oklahoma. She has taught in the Missouri Public Schools and the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics. Mrs. Shaw teaches first through fifth grade French. (2001)

MRS. SIMMONS holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has taught in Putnam City Schools. Mrs. Simmons teaches second grade. (2005)

MRS. SKARKY  (Class of 1992) has a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She has worked with children in the After School Club at Westminster School.  Mrs. Skarky is a graduate of Westminster School, teaches fourth grade, serves as the social studies curriculum coordinator and coaches basketball. MRS. SPELLIS holds a B.A. in both Spanish and International Area Studies-Latin America from the University of Oklahoma.  In addition to OU, she studied at the Universidad de Viña del Mar in Chile for two semesters where she taught at Liceo para niñas.  Mrs. Spellis teaches sixth and seventh grade Spanish. MRS. STEINER holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma and an American Montessori Certificate from Oklahoma City University. She has worked toward an M.A.T. at O.C.U. She has taught in elementary schools in Oklahoma City, has been the lead teacher and program director at Pathways Child Care Center, and was the originator and director/teacher for the Crown Heights After School Program. Mrs. Steiner directs Westminster's primary division. (1985)

MS. THOMPSON holds a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. She received her Master's in Education from Oklahoma City University, as well as American Montessori certifications in Early Childhood and Elementary. She has more than two decades experience in the classroom. Ms. Thompson teaches first grade at Westminster School. (2007)

MR. VERNON received his B.A. in History from Yale University and his Master's of Education from the University of Oklahoma. He has worked toward a doctorate in Education and History at Stanford University and completed a Klingenstein Fellowship for independent school heads at Columbia University’s Teachers College. He has taught in middle schools and high schools in Oklahoma City and Norman. Mr. Vernon teaches eighth grade history and heads Westminster School. (1977)

MRS. WALDO holds a B.A. in History magna cum laude from Duke University and was a fellow at the Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute. She attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she completed the institute on the Art and Craft of Principalship. Mrs. Waldo has taught in junior highs and middle schools in Shawnee and Norman. She has been director of the Child Development Program for Westminster Presbyterian Church and an elected member of the Nichols Hills City Council. Mrs. Waldo is the co-director of the lower division. (1990)

MS. WALDO (Class of 1993) holds a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University and a Master's in Education from Pepperdine University. She has taught fourth and fifth grades in Lynwood, California and has been a program director with Teach For America. She is a member of Oklahoma City's LOYAL (Linking Oklahoma City's Young Adult Leaders) Program. Ms. Waldo is a graduate of Westminster School and teaches fifth grade math, coaches volleyball, and is the co-director of the lower division. (2006)

MR. WARD holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Mr. Ward has directed the Lower School After School Club and is now teaching third grade. (1994)

MRS. WARD holds a B.S. in Human Environment Science and Early Childhood Education from Oklahoma State University. She has taught at King’s Gate School in Oklahoma City. Mrs. Ward teaches first grade. (2005)

MRS. WARREN has a B.F.A. in Art and an M.F.A. in Drawing from the University of Oklahoma. She has been an Artist-in-Residence throughout Oklahoma and has her work in the collections of the Arkansas Art Museum, the Art Museum of South Texas, the Oklahoma City Art Museum, and numerous private collections. Mrs. Warren teaches first, second, and third grade art. (1981)

MS. WILLIAMS received an undergraduate degree and an American Montessori Society Teaching Certificate from Oklahoma City University. She completed the Level One certification of Orff Schulwerk and is working toward Level Two certification. She teaches primary music and directs the Primary After School Program. (1990)

MRS. WILSON graduated from Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education and from Oklahoma City University with a Master's in Education. She holds an American Montessori Society Teaching Certificate. She directed the Child Development Lab School at Oklahoma City Community College for 12 years and has taught in Oklahoma, Texas and Germany. Most recently, she taught kindergarten at St. Mary's in Guthrie. Mrs. Wilson is a teacher in Westminster's five day program. (2008)

MRS. WOODRUFF has a B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of Oklahoma. She taught in Taiwan as well as in the Oklahoma City Public Schools. She has substituted in all grade levels at the University of Oklahoma Speech and Hearing Center. Mrs. Woodruff taught fourth grade at Westminster School for twenty years. She is an enrichment teacher in the lower division and works in the office. (1977)
